Tregothal has a unique location in a sheltered valley close to the villages of Goldsithney & Marazion & within 8 miles of Penzance, Hayle, Helston & St Ives. There is plenty to do right on the door step; course fishing on the neighbouring ponds, footpaths for dog walking, trails for mountain biking, bird watching for red kites & cornish choughs & you can even help feed the chickens in the garden (fresh eggs from the Tregothal chickens will be provided in your welcome pack).
Visit romantic St Michaels Mount, search for smuggling tunnels at Prussia Cove, surf at Praa Sands, try kite surfing at Marazion, wander around St Ives & chose from a great selection of local pubs & restaurants.
Beaches galore a short drive away
Various pubs 5 minutes drive
BBQs in your garden
Wonderful walks from your door
Close to the beautiful National Trust’s Godolphin House
Scurry away to the secluded & romantic beach at Prussia Cove. Sit back, close your eyes & try to imagine the smugglers & ship wreckers that frequented this beautiful spot.
Meander around the attractive fishing village of nearby Porthleven, which is also one of the best known & highly regarded surfing spots in Britain (suitable for experts as the wave crashes over a shallow flat rock ledge at the speed of lightning).
Give Stand Up Paddle Boarding a try around Mounts Bay with the stunning St Michael’s Mount watching over you.
Get out horse riding with a nearby stable
Spot dolphins out in the bay
Enjoy a family bike ride
Explore romantic coves
Discover the Halammaning Engine House
There is a lovely large sheltered garden overlooking the fields with plenty of space for a game of football & a patio to enjoy your BBQ in the sun.
Tregothal is in a rural location with only a couple of neighbours who share this peaceful spot. The house is located at the end of a bumpy track (unsuitable for lowered vehicles).
The owners will be on hand to feed the chickens and deliver the eggs, help with anything you need, or leave you in peace (if you prefer), staying at the entrance to the Tregothal drive.

Special thanks for making us feel at home & relaxed - too relaxed! Cornwall was a first for some of us and a trip down memory lane for others. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The cottage was truly beautiful & we felt we were in a ‘Lord of the Rings’ style hideaway. July 2016
The cottage and its surroundings are beautiful!! We’d left Birmingham in the early hours of the Saturday morning and spent the day in St Ives. To find the cottage so welcoming was a lovely surprise. As you can imagine, by the time bed time came round we were all shattered and to be able to fall in to such comfy beds with lovely crisp fresh bedding was bliss. Cooke Family - August 2016
Thank you for everything - our stay was amazing! The house is stunning and had everything we needed for a fabulous holiday. Gallagher Family - July 2016
